Launch Video Storyboard

Translate product facts into a timed launch video storyboard with shots, on-screen copy, narration, and asset needs.

Usage instructions

Inputs: Product facts, audience, duration, aspect ratio, distribution channel, available footage, and primary action.

Example request: Storyboard a 30-second vertical launch video for this new task manager. We have screen recordings and a logo, but no user testimonial footage.

Workflow:
1. Separate verified product facts from claims requiring approval. Choose one core message for the video.
2. Allocate time across hook, problem, product demonstration, proof, and action. Keep the total within the requested duration.
3. Describe each shot with framing, subject, movement, on-screen copy, narration, transition, and required asset.
4. Check whether viewers can follow the story without sound, and limit text to readable lengths.
5. Return references/storyboard-template.md with an asset list and a list of facts that need approval before production.

Quality checks: Do not claim the video is rendered. No invented footage, user endorsements, music licenses, or product features. Shot durations sum to the requested runtime.

Dependencies

No runtime dependencies. Reading local files is required; browser or spreadsheet access is optional where stated in the workflow.

Installation

  1. Download and inspect the ZIP package. It contains instructions and a reference template; no executable installer is included.
  2. Extract the contents into $CODEX_HOME/skills/skillstore-launch-video-storyboard/ (default ~/.codex/skills/skillstore-launch-video-storyboard/) for Codex, or the Skill directory documented by your agent.
  3. Check that SKILL.md sits directly inside the Skill directory. Restart or reload your agent if needed for discovery.
  4. Invoke skillstore-launch-video-storyboard with the inputs listed in the usage instructions. Review the generated deliverable against the included quality checks.
