Interface Review Brief
Review a provided product flow and produce prioritized usability findings with concrete fixes and verification criteria.
Usage instructions
Inputs: Screenshots or a runnable interface, user task, audience, device constraints, and known product rules.
Example request: Review this checkout-free account setup flow. Focus on the primary task, empty states, and recovery from form errors.
Workflow:
1. Describe the user task and inspect each available state: entry, progress, success, empty, and error.
2. Find ambiguous actions, weak hierarchy, missing feedback, unnecessary steps, and recovery problems using visible evidence.
3. Explain each problem with the exact trigger, observed screen, user consequence, and proposed change.
4. Prioritize findings by blocked task, frequency, and evidence strength. Identify assumptions requiring user research.
5. Return references/review-template.md and a short implementation order with acceptance criteria.
Quality checks: Do not invent analytics, user interviews, or hidden product behavior. Distinguish observations from hypotheses. Proposed fixes must preserve stated product rules.
Dependencies
No runtime dependencies. Reading local files is required; browser or spreadsheet access is optional where stated in the workflow.
