Accessibility Review Checklist

Inspect a provided interface for practical keyboard, semantic, contrast, and form usability problems with reproducible findings.

Usage instructions

Inputs: Page source or a runnable local page, key user journeys, and any available screenshots.

Example request: Review this local signup page for keyboard access and form labeling. Give reproducible findings and fixes, and list anything you could not verify.

Workflow:
1. Identify the main journey and the actual inspection surfaces available. Distinguish source inspection from browser verification.
2. Check landmark and heading structure, accessible names, labels, error associations, and useful alternative text.
3. If browser access exists, traverse the journey using keyboard controls; record focus visibility, ordering, traps, and dialog restoration.
4. Measure contrast only when exact colors are known. Mark screenshot-only estimates as requiring measurement.
5. Group findings by user impact and provide a trigger, observed behavior, proposed fix, and verification step using references/findings-template.md.

Quality checks: Do not claim accessibility certification or complete standards compliance. Do not report checks as passed without running them. Include the tested page and inspection limitations.

Dependencies

No runtime dependencies. Reading local files is required; browser or spreadsheet access is optional where stated in the workflow.

Installation

1. Download and inspect the ZIP package. It contains instructions and a reference template; no executable installer is included.
2. Extract the contents into $CODEX_HOME/skills/skillstore-accessibility-review/ (default ~/.codex/skills/skillstore-accessibility-review/) for Codex, or the Skill directory documented by your agent.
3. Check that SKILL.md sits directly inside the Skill directory. Restart or reload your agent if needed for discovery.
4. Invoke skillstore-accessibility-review with the inputs listed in the usage instructions. Review the generated deliverable against the included quality checks.
